Synopsis

A family, dominated by a loving tyrant of a father, requires only one of its number to rebel against that tyranny for the close family ties to be endangered. The three generations of this family have to face such a rebellion, as they have had to face it once before, in the past. Individual freedom, apparently much prized, threatens to destroy the power of the family. The play seriously explores a very real problem, chich is presented with such compassion, such humour, that everyone who 'belongs' to a family will be moved by it.
