Synopsis

After Abraham is a play in which Ron Chudley examines events that took place on the Plains of Abraham in 1759 - and how they continue to haunt the two rival cultures of Canada. The protagonist in the fateful battle, Wolfe and Montcalm, both died without meeting but, in this play, they hold a continuing dialogue as ghosts or dream figures. They comment on the action - and they try to plumb the depths of each other's personal and national consciousness.
