Synopsis

Still life with Nudes is a light-hearted satire about avant-garde installation art and attitudes towards the elderly. Betty Dilliwick, a senior citizen, paints enormous, Gauginesque nudes posed with erotically-positioned pieces of fruit. Her work has been rejected by the Blochley Leisure and Art Centre - a former water treatment plant. Outraged, she has gathered together the Ancient Acorns, a group of fellow seniors, to storm this bastille of contemporary art and insall themselves in the gallery until they receive satisfaction. She believes that her work has been turned down because of ageism.
