Synopsis

"A play made up of vignettes from the short stories of Anton Chekhov: a scolding woman who berates a bank manager for his gout and lack of money, a father who takes his son to a place where he can be initiated into the mysteries of sex but then loses his nerve and abandons his son there, a man who offers to drown himself for three rubles. The principal role is that of Writer - a composite of Chekhov and Neil Simon himself".
